Position Summary:
This is a full-time non-tenure track position that requires teaching undergraduate computer science cybersecurity courses beginning in the Spring 2020 semester.

The University is particularly interested in applicants who have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for under-represented groups.

Duties/Responsibilities:
We are seeking a high-caliber lecturer to teach cybersecurity courses and assist with MSU Denvers Bachelors Degree in Cybersecurity. The successful applicant will help the department deliver the undergraduate cybersecurity program. The successful applicant will need a thorough understanding of the field of cybersecurity including networking, servers, organizational needs and the marketplace, and the rapid evolution of each. The graduates of our programs must be effective at participating in cybersecurity operations in a wide variety of organizations and levels. The successful applicant will be instrumental in ensuring graduates are prepared not only in the principles and technical elements, but also understand the financial, operational, and strategic aspects of cybersecurity. This position is important in delivering our undergraduate and graduate curricula and the successful applicant will be involved in innovative ways to deliver the curriculum to a wide variety of students. Courses taught will use a mixture of in-class, hybrid, and online delivery methods.

Required Qualifications:
[Masters Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Cybersecurity or related field] OR [Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Cybersecurity or related field AND at least five years of experience in the cybersecurity industry]
Affinity for and experience in educating others
Excellent technical aptitude
Ingenuity and willingness to develop creative solutions to complex problems
Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a rapidly changing environment
Experience in implementing cybersecurity solutions
Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
Doctoral Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field
Higher education experience
Curriculum development experience
Relevant certifications (cybersecurity and/or networking)
An understanding of the legal and regulatory environment for cybersecurity
Familiarity with national cybersecurity educational frameworks
