Job Summary:
Serves as Raytheon Homeland Security (RHS) Budget Manager providing direct support to the RHS Vice President and reporting to the RHS Deputy. The Business Operations Analyst coordinates RHS logistics and administrative activities. He or she serves as the RHS owner of budget preparation, analysis and reporting; accounts payable; travel; conference sponsorship; marketing materials; RHS reporting; and other logistics and administrative issues. These duties are managed in support of RHS activities and involve employees domestically and internationally.
This role supports the RHS Vice President in monitoring and controlling the financial areas of RHS, overseeing an operating budget in excess of $10 million. Duties include monitoring, reporting and developing corrective action plans for budgeting items for all accounts, including consultants, travel, “unallowable” expenses, etc; compiling data from across Raytheon for tracking bookings and challenged programs in coordination with Corporate Strategy & Corporate Finance; preparing quarterly booking review charts by extracting, reconciling and analyzing data from several information systems; creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations; maintaining bookings, sales and pipeline status records; maintaining the RHS e-Room; securing approval of and maintaining Non-Disclosure Agreements in coordination with the Reps & Consultants organization and Rosslyn Legal; maintaining and tracking consultant agreements; tracking performance development schedules; maintaining advertising records; acting as primary POC for off site/conference logistics; tracking staff compliance with required training and other requirements; overseeing association memberships and subscriptions; and coordinating RHS staff schedules for attendance at specific meetings.
The ideal candidate will be a proven multi-tasker with exceptional communication and leadership skills. The qualified candidate prepares and performs many of the above tasks directly, but also delegate to others, including matrixed personnel. Learns, understands, and commits to the mission of the RHS organization to contribute to the organization’s success with innovation, cost-saving and productivity improvement measures, and other ideas that further the objectives of RHS, RHS’ customers, and the company.
The Business Operations Analyst is both a doer and a thinker. The successful candidate will not just prepare a report on actual and forecast budget expenditures, but also provide a critical analysis of the situation and recommendations, given the objectives, plans, and ongoing activities of the department.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- 2+ years’ experience with demonstrated increasing responsibility
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of a task or portfolio and take issues to closure
- Excellence with the Microsoft Office Suite
